"Dog's Best Friend" Acrylic on Canvas "20x24" Not For Sale
In this painting I tried to capture the incredible devotion my dog Charlie has for my grandson, Cole. This photo was taken on the shores of Lake Superior at Agawa PP when both subjects were much younger. Since the pic was taken, I kept revisiting the dream of painting it, and finally got the nerve to try. This piece was entered into the 69th Annual NOAA Juried Show and was accepted. It is currently touring Northern Ontario galleries.
"Ambassador of Algonquin" Acrylic on Canvas 20"x24" $850.00. (Ref#352) (SOLD)
I am continuing to explore a romantic surrealism style in this painting that captures a magical moment I shared with this beautiful raven. Hiking in Algonquin Park, I was resting by the shore of Peck Lake when this fellow landed within a few inches of me. He generously allowed me to take his picture, and we had a nice talk before he flew away.
"Bird's Eye View" Acrylic on Cradle Board" 11"x14" $500.00 (Ref #349)Currently touring Northern Ontario in the NOAA 68th Juried Show.
This I noticed this osprey on a distant perch while visiting Huntington State Park in Myrtle Beach. I found a spot that was close to where he ate his fish breakfast and I joined him everyday for about a week. I took many reference pictures, despite the dirty looks he gave me as he heard my camera clicking furiously. He didn't fly away which told me I was tolerated, and I was thankful. I promised him a portrait for his patience, and I always keep my promises.
"Ken's Great Grey Owl" Acrylic on Cradleboard 20"x24" $850.00 (SOLD)
This was a commission painted from a reference photo taken by Ken as he was going for a walk. He says that he didn't know what made him look over his shoulder, but he was rewarded for following his intuition. This lovely creature was sitting on a fencepost calmly watching him only a few feet away. What a joy it was painting this gorgeous creature!
"Berry Plentiful" Acrylic on Canvas "8x8" $200 (Ref #350)
I spent 2 months in a truck camper touring Labrador/Newfoundland with my husband and doggo in the fall of 2024. Everywhere we hiked, these bright and beautiful berries bordered the trails. The local people called them Partridge Berries.
